with God
Col 1:9-10 (NLT)
9 So we have continued praying for you ever since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your lives, and we ask him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and you will continually do good, kind things for others. All the while, you will learn to know God better and better.
One of the greatest things is to pray the sinner's prayer with someone and lead him or her to the Lord.
Or to even talk with someone after they have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
But think about your Christian friends that you have known for a while. How often do you pray for them?
Sure we pray for others if they are sick or in need, but what about just praying for their spiritual well being?
Here in the book of Colossians Paul instructs us how to pray for others.
"We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your lives, and we ask him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and you will continually do good, kind things for others. All the while, you will learn to know God better and better."
Think about this in your next prayer time.
Write it down and ask the Lord who needs this type of prayer.
You may be surprised how many people the Lord lays on your heart.
Maybe it's something you need prayer for. Once again write them down and give it to someone you know who will be faithful to pray for you.
And if you don't know anyone, send me an E-mail and I will pray for you.
