1 Tim 5:13 (NLT)

Besides, they are likely to become lazy and spend their time gossiping from house to house, getting into other people's business and saying things they shouldn't.

Are you a busybody, someone who loves to talk about other people?
Are you saying things to others about a person, which is not building them up but rather is putting them down?

We as Christians have to be careful about what we say and what we say about others.
All it takes is one or two words about someone and you have now made them out to be bad guys (or girls).

  • Romans 14:13 (NLT) So don't condemn each other anymore. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not put an obstacle in another Christian's path.

  • Also we need to remember that when we are talking about others, we are talking about one of God's creations, and possibly one of His children, or future children.

"But they're not a Christian" Christ still died for them and God created them.
We have no right to put others down, but rather we should be building them up, and if they are doing something wrong, go to them and tell them.

  • James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

  • Gal 5:14-15 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

  • Don't go telling it to others, it's not your place to say bad things about others.
What if God started telling everyone about how bad you are?
Now that would be pretty embarrassing!

  • Col 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

  • We are to forgive each other and if you don't, you could cause a person to walk away from the Lord, all because you just had to tell someone what they did.

  • 1 Cor 8:11 And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

  • Is it worth it?
