5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Col 1:9

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

A woman lost her purse yesterday by leaving it on top of her car and driving off forgetting it was there.
She came to work today and was telling us all about it and how she had money that her sister gave her to pay a bill. All her credit cards, checks and cash were in this purse.
As she continued to tell the story you could tell she did all she could do to hold back the tears.

A few minutes later I went over to her office and said, "I have just prayed for you."
Now this woman is not a Christian, but as soon as she heard that, her face just lit-up with joy.
You would almost think she found the purse the way she smiled. But she didn't, it was just the thought that someone cared enough to take a minute out of work, and stop and pray for someone in need.
It's little things like that, that show Jesus to others.
Jesus is full of compassion and caring for those in need, and so should we be. Even if there is nothing more we can do then pray and let them know.
Aren't you encouraged when someone lets you know they are praying for you?
So is the world, it reminds them that there is a God who cares.
Yes cares enough to take time and stop to listen to someone's request for another.
So next time you see someone having a bad day or you think they just need prayer.
Stop, Pray and then let them know, even if they're not Christian.
After all, Jesus went to those in need before they believed. Including you!
