5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week
with God
Psalms 143:10 (NLT)
Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
May your gracious Spirit lead me forward
on a firm footing.
Did you have a good morning?
Did you speak to God this morning?
Did you ask Him what He wanted you to do?
So many times we awaken and try to make time to say good morning to the Lord if we remember to.
But right now before you go on any further in your day, stop everything and spend just a few minutes with the Lord, or even one if that's all you have.
Spend time thanking Him for this day, and His protection over you throughout the night as you were sleeping, or whatever you want to say to Him this morning.
Now for something we are good at when we pray, Ask God for something.
Not just any something, but ask Him what He wants you to do today.
In today's devotional passage, we read "Teach me to do Your will."
And one way is to ask God what He wants you to do today. Kind of like asking Him to be your road map.
Not just for when you are traveling, but as you are at work, or home, or the store, or school, or where ever you are.
Ask Him to guide you not just on whom to talk with, but what to say.
Kind of like, if Jesus was in my place what would He say to this person, or how would He treat them.
If the Lord is directing your path then your walk today will be like the end of the verse.
Because you will be "lead on firm footing."
And if you are on firm footing, then there is less chance of slipping and falling.
