Psalms 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

We all know and love this verse. We all quote it when we are looking for direction from the Lord in our lives.

But did you notice what it does not say?
To does not say that the path will always be smooth or that there wont be any obstacles.

As we go through life as Christians, we are always seeking direction from the Lord, and sometimes we end up in hard or tough times when we walk with the Lord.
But if you are not a Christian you will also note that you have hard or tough times as well.
So what's the difference? The difference is whom you are walking with and the ability to see what's ahead.
If you are walking a path in the mountains at night, what are two things you want with you?
First, a flashlight so that you can see the way. Second a guide who knows the way around. If you don't have these then you end up getting lost and even hurt.
But with the flashlight you are able to see those obstacles and walk around them or even over them, and the guide will help you enjoy your walk as he points things out to you and gets you back home safely.

We all will have obstacles along life's path. Some we run into as we try and go our own way, and some are put there by the devil. But then some are there to help strengthen us.
No matter what obstacle may come along life's path, remember that if you are walking in the light of Gods' word, you will make it home.

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
