with God

Hosea 1:7

Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah,
Will save them by the LORD their God,
And will not save them by bow,
Nor by sword or battle,
By horses or horsemen."

"God, I need help. I need you to _______________."

So, what do you need help with from the Lord and what is your solution for how you think the Lord should handle it?
Many times we pray and ask the Lord for help, and during this time, we tell God how to help us.

"God I need more money, so if you could just give me a raise or a better job, or let me win the Lotto."
"God my marriage is in a shambles, will you change my husband, or wife."
"God I want to serve you whole heartedly, but I need you to give me _______ first."

So did you catch it in each of these examples of how we ask God for help, and tell Him what we think He should do?

Here in today's devotional verse, God was going to help Judah, yet not in the way that they thought He would. They may have expected for themselves to destroy their enemies with a great battle, yet God says: Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah,
Will save them by the LORD their God, And will not save them by bow, Nor by sword or battle, By horses or horsemen."

So just let God know what you need and let Him take care of how He wants to do it.
After all, He is God and we are not, therefore He knows better how to handle the situation then both you and I put together.
