Rev 19:1
After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!
Here is the setting. We are all in heaven, with a multitude of thousands of thousands before the throne of God. After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven,
We are all in one accord singing: saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!
Then all of a sudden, some ones cell phone goes off. What happened to the worship? Well the focus just went from God, onto the person with the cell phone.
"Yea, but this will never happen in heaven."
You are right, it wont because we wont have or need cell phones in heaven. But what about right now? I don't know if we really need cell phones or not, because they are good to have in case of an emergency and you are broken down on the side of the road or someone needs help right away and there is no phone around. But what about in church, who really needs a cell phone in church? Who would you call or who needs to call you while you are in church?
Or I guess the better question is, who is more important then God in your life?
You see, when you leave your cell phone on in church, not only does it distract the worship and/or teaching but also it is also saying that someone else is more important then God to you.
If God were to come down and talk to your right now face to face, who would you want to call or want to call you while God is talking to you?
If no one, then why would you want someone to call while you are spending time with the Lord in church?
Alleluia! Salvation and glory and "ring-ring" honor and power belong to the "ring-ring" Lord our God!
God wants to talk to you and listen while you praise Him. Don't give that time to anyone else.
