1 Cor 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

"You know what, I don't even think I want to read this devotional today, because I know what you are going to say. I have read and had this verse quoted to me a thousand times, and I am at the end of my rope. So don't tell me I can handle this. You just don't understand."

I will be honest with you and tell you, I may or probably do not understand. I may not have gone through what you are going through. But then it doesn't matter if I or anyone else understands, what matters is that God understands.

"If He does, then why doesn't He make it stop?"

I cannot answer for God, all I can do is tell you what His word says, and it says that God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

God knows just what you are going through, and before He even allowed this to happen, He created the way of escape, and the reason He did is so that you may be able to bear it.

Some think that death is the way of escape and they end up taking their own lives. But if you use that as your escape, and one that God did not intend for you to use, then how can you help those in the future who will go through the same thing you are right now?
How do we know that others will or even have gone through the same thing? No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man

Just remember that you are not the first, and you wont be the last, and that God was with them, and He will be with you as well as others in the future who will struggle with the exact same thing.
