with God

Ezek 18:23

"Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?" says the Lord GOD, "and not that he should turn from his ways and live?

"God is so mean." That's what a lot of people think.
"How could a loving God send someone to hell for all eternity?" Something else many people say.
Just one little problem about statements like these, they are totally untrue, and the reason people say them is because they have never read the bible to find out the truth.

Think of today's devotional verse, and then read this next verse from the same chapter.

  • Ezek 18:32 "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!"

  • Very simple, God wants us all to turn from our sins, and even if you don't like the word repent, that's just what it means, to turn from your sins.

But still people try to judge God without even knowing Him.
You can read these devotionals and bible studies and think I am an old gray haired man waiting for Jesus to come back.
Well, I am waiting for Jesus to come back, but I'm not an old gray haired man.
Yet you could have judged me without even knowing me.
So many, and even us as Christians sometimes Judge God without finding out the truth.
All we know is we have little, struggle to make it each week while the world goes around in their new cars, and live in their fine houses. Maybe you have an illness or sever pain and you see the world dancing around with their strong healthy bodies to sinful music.
We think, "Has God forgotten about me, or has He stopped loving me?"

    Remember the definition of faith?

  • Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

  • Don't base your faith or knowledge of God upon what others say, or even the things you see going on around you. Rather base them upon God's word.
