with God
Luke 18:42-43
42 Then Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well." 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
I love verses like these, because it shows the people glorifying God for the things done.
But how many times have we sat in church and heard a great message that really spoke to our heart, and glorified the pastor for it?
Or how many Christian bands do you worship by wearing their T-shirts, or hats or jewelry or whatever?
Just as the Lord gave the message and the ability to deliver it to the people through the pastor, so the Lord also gave the musicians the ability to play music and have great voices. But whom are you giving the glory to, the messenger, or the One who gave him or her that message?
Here in today's devotional verses, Jesus healed a blind man and he received his sight. But did you notice, that even though Jesus healed the man, they gave the glory to God?
Jesus taught this and lived it.
Matt 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
And because Jesus lived it, the people followed His example.
Your pastor, and Christian musicians do not want any glory, so follow their example and give glory to God!
And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
