John 19:28-30

28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Have you ever sinned a real bad sin, or even a not so bad sin?
Of course we all have. But when you did, what did you do?
Did you ask Jesus to forgive you?
Of course you did, but what else did you do?
"What do you mean what else did I do, is there more?"
No, there is not more that you should have done, but the question is, what more did you do?
Sometimes we sin so badly or so much, that even though we asked Jesus to forgive us, we just don't FEEL forgiven.
So what do we do? We start reading the bible more, or praying more, or giving more at church or to charities or doing more service.
But when we do these things, it's like a slap on the face of Jesus and telling Him that what He did on the cross just wasn't enough.

Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, He said, "It is finished!"

In fact when you do these things you are calling God a liar, because He said.

  • 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  • So what part of ALL did your sin not fall into?

So I would say it's pretty simple here on what to do when we sin. Our part is: If we confess our sins
And God's part is to: He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
So stop trying to do more then what God asks you to do, even if you don't feel like you are forgiven, you have God's word on it that you are, period!
