1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Have you ever sinned and wonder if the Lord has forgiven you?
Sometimes we feel like the Lord won't forgive us when we commit certain sins. So we turn and hide from Him and even stop talking to God in prayer.
Maybe some of you are experiencing this thing at this very moment and may have even stumbled across this devotional by mistake. Let me tell you; with God there is no mistakes.
So what sin have you committed that you feel God has not, or cannot forgive?
Now that you are thinking about it, read today's devotional verse again.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Have you confessed it to God? If not you just read God's word that He WILL forgive you if you confess it to Him.
Notice also that it doesn't say only these types of sins, but not those sins. No it says that He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
In the original text the word "all" means all, and that's all "all" means!

Maybe you have confessed it to God but still don't feel forgiven.
Who do you trust more, your feelings or God?
If you think God has not forgiven you after you have confessed your sin to Him, then you are calling God a liar because His word says that If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

So stop trusting in your feelings and trust in God's word
