Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

When you watch TV and see people walking with flashlights, it seems like this little tiny light will light up the whole room or road.
I tell you what, I wish I had a flashlight like that.

But in reality a light does not light up everything, it is limited to a certain area, so you can't always see to whole picture, unless you travel around.

The children of Israel had something visual to see for Gods direction. Although it didn't light up enough for them to see from Egypt all the way from to Israel, it lit enough for them to see where God wanted them to go.

And we have the same type of light, which is His word that lights our path.

Although we can't see to whole picture (although we know the ending) we can see enough to go in the direction that God wants us to go.
And if you think about it, you can see more if you move around, just like with a flashlight.

So this week, start moving around and seeing the exciting things God wants to show you.
Eventually you will get to the Promised Land, just as the children of Israel did, and just as God promises!
