Psalms 135:15-18

15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
The work of men's hands.
16 They have mouths, but they do not speak;
Eyes they have, but they do not see;
17 They have ears, but they do not hear;
Nor is there any breath in their mouths.
18 Those who make them are like them;
So is everyone who trusts in them.

People look like their dogs. Sounds funny but it's really true.
They have the same expressions, the same quirks, the same appetites, the same hairstyle, the same mannerism and so on.
But you know what else is true? People look just like their gods.
Those who wear all kinds of jewelry or fancy clothes have a god of vanity or money.
Those who overeat have a god of gluttony.
Those who walk all over anyone and everyone to get ahead in life have a god of pride.
Those who play the lotto have a god of greed or laziness.
Those who watch movies for the sex and/or read pornography have a god of sex.
Those who spend time trying to save an animal instead of worrying about those people in need have a god of nature.
Those who worry about bills or any other thing all the time have a god of doubt.
Those who give to those in need and do not seek any recognition for it have a God in heaven.
Those who give up their lives for strangers have a God named Jesus.
So today, look at yourself throughout the day and see who your God or god really is.
Remember, you may look like your dog, but you also look like your God or god!
