5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Psalms 100:1-5

1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5 For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Just think about it, as a Christian you are a part of God's flock.
"So what, tell me something I don't know" you may be thinking.
If you think about it, whom would you have with you serving the Lord?
Someone well educated, or someone with great knowledge of the bible, or someone who has a great speaking or singing voice, or maybe someone who looks good, or someone with lots of money? We could go on and on with those we think would serve the Lord best and would want helping us out as we serve the Lord.
However, there is another part to this verse, and it is the sentence right before this one.

It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves

God made each and everyone of us uniquely and just how He wants us to be.
God does not use us because of our great abilities, but rather on a willing heart to serve.
So looking at the examples of people we may want to serve with, they may have great abilities but no real heart to serve the Lord.

So remember to Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise for whom you are, and those the Lord has put in your life to help you out. They may not be the smartest, or richest or best looking or they may stutter or even sing off key, but if they have a heart to serve the Lord then Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good and Serve the LORD with gladness.
