John 16:33

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Have you ever wondered why we have the Bible?
Yes we have it for salvation and teaching.
But did you ever think that you have Jesus' words for comfort?

That's just what Jesus is saying here:
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace."

Think about that for a minute. When you are going through a tough time, don't you turn to the Lord?
And what greater peace and comfort then being in His words or listening to Jesus' words speak to your heart.
Here is just one example:

  • John 14:1-4 1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 "And where I go you know, and the way you know."

  • Jesus has gone to prepare a place just for you, and as Jesus said, He will come back for you.
Just think about that, Jesus is coming back for you. Say it, "Jesus is coming back for me!"
Now if that's not exciting I don't know what is.
And that 's just a couple of verses. Read some more of what Jesus said, and be comforted knowing that He loves you, and wants to talk to you.

Now just sit back, read, and listen to His voice. Now smile, because Jesus is with you right at this moment talking with you. Just you and Him!
