with God

Romans 3:23

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

This week we are taking a journey down the Romans Road.
The first phase of our journey takes us down a road that we are all familiar with, but seldom go down.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

You can ask almost anyone and he or she will tell you that they have sinned.
We all know this, but seldom tend to think about it. We do not like to think that we have sinned, because when we admit that we have, then we are saying that we are not perfect, or that we are a bad person.
However, what we tend to forget is the three letter word here "all", meaning everybody.
Your mom and dad have sinned, your grandma and grandpa have sinned, your pastor or any pastor in the church has sinned, and even your children have sinned. No one is exempt from the fact that we ALL have sinned.
Not only have all sinned, but we have all fallen short of the glory of God.
To fall short is to fail.
God is without sin, and no matter how hard we may try; we will never measure up to God. Every time we try to do a good deed, we find ourselves doing hundreds of bad deeds. The one good that we may do will never outweigh the bad, so we fail at trying to be perfect.

So looking at these things, it's no wonder many try to stray away from this road, because it causes people to see that they are not perfect, in a world that says that you need to be perfect. This world tries to make the outside perfect with all sorts of artificial things and creams and injections and surgery. Nevertheless, no matter how hard you try to make the outside look perfect, inside we are all far from perfect.

Not a fun trip so far? Tomorrow's road takes us to the penalty for our imperfection.
The journey may not be fun at the beginning but the end results will be better then anything you could imagine.
But, you must complete the journey.
