5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week
with God
1 Chron 5:20 (NLT)
They cried out to God during the battle, and he answered their prayer because they trusted in him. So the Hagrites and all their allies were defeated.
We are always encouraged to pray without ceasing.
We are encouraged to always be prepared for the battle that lies ahead for us each day.
We are encouraged to stay in God's word to stay strong in our Christian walk.
But then it happens, the war or battle starts where we are attacked spiritually, and so many times we just give up and give in, that's when we fall into sin.
But remember this next verse?
1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
During our daily battles there is always a way of escape, even if it's running away, just like Joseph did.
Gen 39:11-12 11 But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, 12 that she caught him by his garment, saying, "Lie with me." But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.
But sometimes it's not as easy as running away. What do you do then?
Today's devotional verse tells us.
They cried out to God during the battle
Call out to the Lord for help and trust that He will help you.
If you do, then: He answered their prayer because they trusted in him.
