2 Tim 2:20-21

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

We have a store here called "Art from Scrap", where you buy things that people or business throw away and turn it into a beautiful work of art.

That's the same thing that God has done with us.
He has taken us from the garbage of this world and is turning us into a beautiful piece of art.
In order to do this; He needs to clean off the grime that is on us. But there are always things that He needs to scrub off a little harder, because they are so imbedded into us that we just wont let go.
But as soon as it is off of us, a light shines through where there was once dirt and grime. And that light is Jesus shining through where satan once had a hold of us.

Have you ever meet a someone after they became a Christian and when you start to hear their testimony you are shocked at all they dirt they used to have, because now all you see is the light of Jesus where that dirt once used to be.

People probably see you the same way, but we are so used to having that dirt as part of our lives that even though Jesus has cleansed it away, we still remember and wonder if people still see it.

Remember that God has cast your sins away as far as the east is from the west, and if He no longer sees it, then we should stop looking for something that's not there.

If not then we may end up putting that dirt back on and covering the light of Jesus.
