Matt 5:14-16

14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Have you ever been to a light store or a store that has a bunch of lights for sale?
When you go in there, you could be almost blinded by all the lights that are shining.
It's kind of like when we walk into our church. Here are all these little lights shining.
But did you notice today's verse? God didn't call us to be a light in our church, but rather a light to the world.
We tend to shine our light brightly at church and around other believers, but turn on the dimmer when we are around non-Christians.
Those who are walking in the light do not need another light to help them, but rather those who are walking in darkness; they are the ones who need the light.

So what about you, are you letting your light shine brightly at church, but when you leave are you putting on the dimmer or even shut the light down all together?
If so, then ask the Lord to forgive you and to make you a light for those who are walking in darkness.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
