Col 2:13-14
13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
It's so great having kids. One reason is that the Lord uses them to teach me of His love for me.
I have a son who's in his 20's and two little ones less than two years old.
I love all my children, and if they do something wrong, I am quick to forgive them.
I also love other kids to and if they do something wrong, and ask, I will forgive them also.
We tend to associate ourselves with God as He is our Father and we are His children.
Keeping all this in mind, think about when we mess up and sin.
We trust and believe that God will forgive anyone for the things they have done, but we doubt that God can or will forgive us.
Are we better then God?
Are we the only one's who can forgive their children?
But we tend to think that way, knowing that God will forgive others who are not Christians yet and become Christians. But when it comes to us as God's children, we tend to think that God won't forgive us.
Remember I said I have an older son and two small children?
Just because my son is in his 20's now, doesn't mean I have to stop forgiving him when he does something wrong.
I love my son just as much as I love my other children, and there are no favorites, they are all forgiven the same, even though my son knows better then the little ones.
God doesn't play favorites either, and He will forgive you just as He will forgive a new Christian.
Just something to remember next time you don't think you are forgiven.
