1 Peter 1:17-19
17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
We are so blessed because we are saved by what Jesus did for us on the cross.
We tell others about it, write about it, sing about it and thank the Lord for it.
But what about how we treat, or look at others?
How often do we judge them, thinking that they need to stop doing this or that. We even tend to think that they need the Lord because of a particular sin we see them practicing.
The question I have is, how much junk did you have when you came to the Lord?
Like me, I bet it was a lot, and Jesus didn't just die for one particular sin that someone didn't like. Jesus died for all of our sins.
We even tend to categorize people and the severity of their sins.
But sin is sin and lying will get you to hell, just like murder will, because to God, it's all disobedience to Him.
So we need to stop categorizing people and looking at one particular sin and see them as Jesus sees them.
How's that?
Luke 15:4-7 4 "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 "And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 "And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' 7 "I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
Let's point out these lost sheep to Jesus that they may be found, and stop pointing out their faults to Jesus!
And when Jesus finds them, let's celebrate on earth along with the angels in heaven.
Matt 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
