Romans 10:1

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.

One of my deepest hearts desires is to go to Israel before I fall asleep (die), or before Jesus returns to take us home.
I can't really explain it but I have a longing to see the Promised Land and see God's chosen people, the Israelites.

My heart is like Paul's because every morning I pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

  • Psalms 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.

  • Not so I can prosper, but because the Lord has laid Israel upon my heart.
But I also pray that the veil would be removed from their hearts so that they would be saved.

  • 2 Cor 3:14-16 14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

  • So why do I tell you these things?
Maybe so that the Lord will lay Israel upon your hearts and you will pray for them also.

  • Neh 1:4-6 4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. 5 And I said: "I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, 6 "please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father's house and I have sinned.
