Josh 1:8

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Did you just read what I did in today's verse?

Think about it, the world has it get rich schemes, hundreds if not thousand of books have been written on being prosperous and successful.
But not one of them mentions God's way as mentioned in this verse.
Why, because if they did then they couldn't tell you to walk all over people and use whoever you could to obtain the status that you want in this world.

If you read God's word, the way to be prosperous and successful is not by seeking self, but the needs of others.
When we start seeing things going bad, a lot of times it's because we see things the world's way and not God's way.
The world says if you don't have and have lots of it, then you are a failure.
God says if you give what you have to those in need then you are successful.

Mark 10:21-22 21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me." 22 But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

Luke 14:13-14 13 "But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. 14 "And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just."

1 Cor 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

The world wants to listen to it's own way of obtaining prosperity and success.
