Luke 2:49-50

49 And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?" 50 But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.


I am not a TV critic or a representative of any political party. I am simply a Christian and a teacher of God's word who cannot stand God's word being taught incorrectly.

There was a mini series on TV called Jesus, and by the first commercial I had to turn it off.
Within the first 15 minutes it portrayed Jesus as not knowing as a man who He was or His calling by God or even that God was His Father.
I also portrayed Him as not having faith and knowledge of God.
Along with God's will not being known or understood by Jesus.
But here in the book of Luke we see as a child that Jesus DID know who His Father was and God's calling on His life.

Once again the world has painted Satan's picture of Jesus and is preaching a false christ to a lost world.
So what do we as Christians do about this?

  • 1 Tim 1:3-4 (NLT) 3 When I left for Macedonia, I urged you to stay there in Ephesus and stop those who are teaching wrong doctrine. 4 Don't let people waste time in endless speculation over myths and spiritual pedigrees. For these things only cause arguments; they don't help people live a life of faith in God.


  • 2 Tim 2:24-26 (NKJV) 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.


    • We are to teach the truth of God's word, not accepting the false teachings of the world and not even support them.
    And how do we do this? Well there is a CD for this Jesus mini series, which sells itself by having Christians singers on it. (I have to wonder if they saw the show before they decided to do this CD?) By buying this CD we are supporting the false teaching of this show.

    We are to be separated from the world, which means we don't leave this world but not be a part of what it does or teaches.

    Finally, pray for those who have watched this show and have received a false teaching of Christ and those who are Christians that accept it.
    Pray for the salvation of the lost and that through this show they will have a hunger to know the truth of God's word and who Jesus really is!
    And pray for the believers who accepted this show that they will have a desire to check out what they were just taught to find out if it's true or not.
