with God

Acts 22:3

"I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers' law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today.

If you were born in the USA, and live here right now you are a blessed person. We have good jobs, nice homes or places to live, good food to eat, and we can freely worship the Lord.
There are other countries that are just as blessed with the same things.
But then there are those countries where most are poor; they live in little wooden shacks or even cardboard boxes. They have little to eat and some of what they have to eat is not that great. What's worse is they cannot freely worship the Lord, if they do then they can be beaten and even put to death.
Now this devotional is not to get you down or make you look down on yourself because you live in a great country like the USA or wherever you live.
But we tend to look down on ourselves because we have it so good while others don't.

First off, remember that God determined who your parents would be and where you would be born and raised.
So thank the Lord for blessing you and allowing you to live in such a great country with the freedom to worship Him.

But we must also remember that.

  • Luke 16:10-11 10 "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. 11 "Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

  • We are blessed, but we must also remember to share our blessing with others.
Once you do, then God will bless you with His true riches, and it's not money!
