5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week
with God
Psalms 119:82
My eyes fail from searching Your word,
Saying, "When will You comfort me?"
I have two little babies, one almost four months old, the other eighteen months old, I love them both very much. But there are times when they cry and cry and cry. You can change their diapers, feed them, play with them or even lay them down to sleep, but they still just keep on crying.
In times like these the only way to stop them from crying is to pick them up, and hold them letting them feel the love I have for them.
Don't you feel like this sometimes? You may have had a bad weekend, or week, or month, or year, or even a bad life. You know you have messed up and made many mistakes. You tried everything else to find comfort, just like I tried with my babies.
Sometimes we just need a big hug from God.
We long to feel His strong arms wrapped around us holding us close as we cry on His chest. Feeling the comfort of knowing that no matter what we have done, or what we are going through, everything will be alright because God is our Father, and He will make everything work out just fine.
So whether you are a man or a woman, maybe you need to stop and spend a little time with God this week, crying out to Him. Ask Him to hold you and let Him know you need to feel the comfort of His love wrapped around you, letting you know that everything will be all right because He is in control.
And after God does, go and share this comfort with someone else that may need God's
