with God

James 4:11

Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

How many times do we question what God's word says?
We challenge God and His word wondering why God doesn't allow certain things and why He has some things they way they are.
Why can't we have sex before marriage, after all God invented it but makes us wait to have it?
Why can't I drink, God made the materials so alcohol could be made, but then He says not to get drunk?
Why did the animals have to be killed and sacrificed in the Old Testament? They're just innocent animals why do they have to suffer?
Why does God allow some to have a lot of things and others to have nothing?
Why did that sweet innocent child have to die?
How come that murderer got off free?

We could go on and on with our why's to God.

But when we do this we forget who God is and who we are.
Who are we to judge God and what He does?
What if the tables were turned and God started to question you?

  • Job 38:1-3 1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: 2 "Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.

  • Every time I read these verses it puts everything into perspective for me and how Awesome God is and that I'm not!
