5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

James 3:13 (NLT)

If you are wise and understand God's ways, live a life of steady goodness so that only good deeds will pour forth. And if you don't brag about the good you do, then you will be truly wise!

Today you may be sending out invitations to a party. This is not just any party but a special party in your honor.
It's called a pity party, and you want every one you meet to join you in this party.
We all have them at one time or another and you consider this your special day.
The problem is that no one wants to come to your party, sure they act interested, but are they really?
They are concerned with what you are going through and they will be there to minister to you and pray for you. But you must realize that they are not coming to your party.
Do you really want people to come to a party?
If you do then here is the answer.
Instead of a Poor Me party, why not have a Pour Me party.
"A Pour Me party, what's that?"
That's a party where you are pouring into others, instead of looking for them to pour into you.
When we have these poor me parties we are seeking self and to please ourselves. But when we have a pour me party, we are seeking to minister to others and pour our lives and gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit into others.

So this week, send out those invitations and cross out the "Poor Me Party" and change it to "Pour Me Party". You just may have to buy extra food for all that will be showing up.
