Luke 11:42

"But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

Here is a question you may never have thought of.
How much did Jesus tithe?
There is no mention of this in the bible.
I say this because we seem to put so much emphasis in tithing, but we don't read of Jesus doing it.
So am I teaching you not to tithe or give to the church?
No, we should all give to the Lord. But we shouldn't allow what we tithe or our worrying about how much we should tithe affect the real work we are to do, or the relationship we have with the Lord!

Psalms 51:16-17 (NLT) 16 You would not be pleased with sacrifices,
or I would bring them.
If I brought you a burnt offering,
you would not accept it.
17 The sacrifice you want is a broken spirit.
A broken and repentant heart, O God,
you will not despise.
