5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

1 Thess 5:14

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

One week ago today (Monday) we had our second child (my third), a little boy.
He is truly a blessing from the Lord.
But we also have our 17 month old little girl, who is having a hard time getting used to someone new in the family. Especially when she is used to getting all the attention.
Now we have not neglected her or slacked off in the attention she is used to getting, nor has any of our friends or family. But still she is having a tough time with her little brother being here. She is also so compassionate that when he cries, her little bottom lip starts to quiver and she will cry also.
Now my older son who is 23 years old, is happy that he has a new little brother.

So what does all of this have to do with today's devotional?

Well, yesterday was Easter and a lot of people have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
But in the body of Christ, there will be those who are happy and those who will have to get used to the idea of these new people in the church, especially if they know what type of person they used to be.

In Paul's letter to the Thessalonians, he encourages those who are grownup or mature in the faith to, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

So if you are having a tough time with some of these new Christians in your church, be patient and watch the Lord do wonderful things in their life.
And if you don't have any trouble with these new Christians, but know others that are then uphold the weak and watch the Lord do great things in their lives also.
