But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, "These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.


Have you been disrupting things lately?
Let me make myself clearer.
Have you been speaking against the evil of this world and proclaiming the truth of God's word?
When you do you are disrupting things.
The world seems to have its comfort zone and if you come along with God's word then you are disrupting their comfort zone.

The world wants to accept sex outside of marriage; if you speak against it you are disrupting their comfort zone.
The world wants its movies and music glorifying sin; if you speak against it you are disrupting their comfort zone.
The world wants is parties and drugs and alcohol; if you speak against it you are disrupting their comfort zone.
This world wants it's own gods; if you speak against it you are disrupting their comfort zone.

When we proclaim God's word, we must understand that it's not us who are disrupting their comfort zone.

  • Psalms 146:9-10 9 The LORD watches over the strangers;
    He relieves the fatherless and widow;
    But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
    10 The LORD shall reign forever--
    Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
    Praise the LORD!


    • It's God and His word that turns the world upside down disrupting its comfort zone.

    We are just those who are proclaiming the truth wanting them to have a new comfort zone, which they can only find in Jesus Christ.

  • Matt 5:2-12 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
    3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    4 Blessed are those who mourn,
    For they shall be comforted.
    5 Blessed are the meek,
    For they shall inherit the earth.
    6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    For they shall be filled.
    7 Blessed are the merciful,
    For they shall obtain mercy.
    8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
    For they shall see God.
    9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
    For they shall be called sons of God.
    10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
    For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 "Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
