with God

1 Cor 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

We sometimes wonder why certain people struggle with some things. We think, "that's a piece of cake, they shouldn't be struggling with that."

Here is an example:
I can' t stand okra; this would never be a temptation for me.
But someone may love okra. I don't understand how anyone could even like okra let alone love it.

What about Ex-Lax? It looks just like chocolate, except it doesn't say Hershey's on it.
Someone who can't read or does not know what Ex-Lax is, may not know they shouldn't take Ex-Lax unless the need it for medical purposes.

Now I know not to eat Ex-Lax like chocolate, if I did, it would come out faster then when I put it in my mouth.
But people struggle with chocolate, some to the point that if they saw a piece of Ex-Lax on the table that they would eat it without even reading what is inscribed in it.

Maybe you know someone who is struggling with something. Maybe you don't understand why anyone would struggle with what they are going through.
You don't have to understand it to be there for that person.
We should show compassion for those who are struggling.
Pray for them and with them, not against them.
