5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Luke 6:12-13

12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles:

Have you been praying about something a lot and it seems like the Lord hasn't answered your prayers, or you got something weird in return for your prayers?

Here we read that Jesus spent the whole night in prayer. After Jesus prayed He choose the 12 apostles. Do you remember who they are?
Let me name just one of them, Judas.
That's right, Jesus prayed all night and one of the 12 He chose was Judas, who would betray Him.

Should Jesus have prayed longer?
Did God give Jesus the wrong instructions?
Did God really say Judas, or did He say Justas and Jesus just misunderstood God?
The answer to all these questions is NO.
Jesus prayed long enough and He clearly understood God's instruction and why Judas was chosen.
Judas was all part of the prophecy about the Messiah and how He would be betrayed.

So maybe your prayers are not being answered in the way you think they should.
Maybe you should ask the Lord to help you understand His will and the answer He has given you.
You may not have been given a Judas, but whatever it is, the Lord knows what He's doing.
