Luke 2:13-14

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 "Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

It's Christmas Eve and hopefully you got all your shopping done, all the stuff for Christmas dinner is bought. The turkey is thawing in the frig; your family is wrapping those last minute gifts. And you'll sit there watching the Christmas specials on TV.

I love Christmas and the feeling of love, giving and family gathered together.

This devotional will be short, but it is one I want to use to encourage you to possibly start a new tradition this year.
So what is it?
I would encourage you to pull out your bible before the kids go to bed and read them Luke chapters 1 & 2. Why, because it's the Christmas story telling of Jesus' birth.
But that's not all; I would also encourage you to sing some praise songs together. No not the traditional Christmas songs, but actual worship songs you sing in church.
Why, because it's the same thing the angels did on the night of Jesus' birth.
What better way to give thanks to the Lord on Christmas Eve.
