with God
Jude 1:4
For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Merry Xmas.
How many of you have seen this, or have gotten cards or e-mails or even presents that say Merry Xmas?
We are all familiar with it, but we, as Christians should not be writing this.
Why, because when you write Merry Xmas, you are removing Christ from Christmas.
The world wants so much to do this in everyway. They now call it the holiday season and even where I work they refuse to call it Christmas, but call it The Holidays.
The world tries in everyway to remove Jesus from everything, not just Christmas.
Where I live even at Easter, our church is allowed to have an Easter service outside, but not display the cross.
People get excited about Harry Potter, but frown when you mention the name of Jesus.
Cartoon caricatures, Santa Claus and Snowmen now adorn people's trees, but where is Jesus in Christmas?
The world has Xed Him out.
So, am I angry with all of this?
No, because I know that that's the way this world is, with satan having his clutches on the world.
But I do get angry when Christians conform to the world and its celebration of what they now call the Holiday Season.
We as Christians should be a light to the world, showing Jesus, not Xing Him out like the world. We should be reminding them of what the Christmas celebration really means and not just putting up our manger scenes on a shelf because we think we have to.
After all, who died for your sins?
Who was born from a virgin and became a man?
Who suffered on the cross?
It wasn't Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman or even the little drummer boy.
It was Jesus the Christ.
So remember, with out Jesus Christ, it's only Xmas!
