We don't go around preaching about ourselves; we preach Christ Jesus, the Lord. All we say about ourselves is that we are your servants because of what Jesus has done for us.
Think about your week?
How many times have you tried to get someone to pay attention to you and notice you?
Maybe at work you want your boss to see the great job you are doing.
Maybe you took a little extra time to get ready in the morning to be noticed by that guy or girl you like so much, or maybe to be noticed more by your spouse.
Did you wash and wax your car so others will see how cool your car is?
Maybe you colored your hair or had it styled to be noticed by others.
Maybe you got a new cologne or perfume so others will pay attention to you.
Now think of how many times you tried to show Jesus in your life to others?
I’m not talking about witnessing with your words, but with your actions.
How would you do this?
Did you help out someone not wanting anything in return?
Did you do something in secret for someone in need so you weren’t noticed but the glory went to the Lord?
Have you stopped and just taken time out for someone who just needed to vent and get their frustrations out?
Or maybe they need to cry, was your shoulder there?
There are so many things we can do to show others Jesus in our lives, but first we must stop trying to bring attention to ourselves, only then can we draw all the attention to the Lord!
