"The rich man replied, 'No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins.' 31 "But Abraham said, 'If they won't listen to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even if someone rises from the dead.' "
“After I stop taking drugs, then I will follow the Lord.”
“After I stop drinking, then I will follow the Lord”
“After I marry the person I live with, then I will follow the Lord.”
“After I ……….”
So many excuses, but the main reason people don’t follow the Lord is because they don’t want to believe His word. So many want a sign or a bolt of lightning to hit them on the head before they will believe.
But they don’t need that, all they need is to believe in Jesus and be saved.
Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
No bolt of lightning, and not even someone coming back from the dead will make then believe. Only by God’s word will they be saved.
John 5:39-40 39 "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 "But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
No more excuses. If you haven’t believed and been saved by Jesus, today is the day.
How do you do it? Read Romans 10:9 again and follow God’s directions!
