Jer 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations."
Four months ago our baby girl was born. She is a wonderful gift from God!
But I still remember looking at her that very first day and realizing that Jesus died for all the sins that she will commit over her life time.
I also realized that when Jesus was dieing on the cross that He was dieing for my little girl. (How could I not love Jesus!)
Imagine that, 2000 years ago Jesus paid for all the sins of the world, my little girls, mine and yours too!
We seem to think that God is surprised at some of the things we do and wonder how He could love us after we had done something like that.
But reading today’s devotional verse, God knew you before you were born. 2000 years ago God knew about you and all the things you would do but still He was willing to send His Son Jesus to die for you.
So next time you mess up and fall into sin, don’t think that God is surprised at what you did. But remember that God knew you would do that and that’s why He sent His Son Jesus to die, because he loves you so much that in spite of your sins He still wants to spend eternity with you!
