with God

Romans 13:1

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

We have all heard of the tragedy of the Space Shuttle. And I would encourage all of you to pray for the families of those who have died.
That's not what today's devotional is about but I just wanted to remind you.

One Saturday, our president stood before the cameras before all of America and the world and spoke of this tragedy. At the end of his speech our president quoted the book of Isaiah speaking of how God created the stars and they all exist because of God.
Then our president said something that brought a comfort to my heart, which was that this same God who created the stars and knows each one by name, also knows the names of those seven people who died in the space shuttle.
It's so good to have a president who loves the Lord and is not afraid to proclaim Him to the world.
If this was another ex-president (Whose name I wont mention) he may have said, "WWJD". That was the closest he ever got to the Lord.
So as everything is going on in this world I would encourage you all to pray for our president and the decisions he has to make everyday, which concerns the lives of millions, if not billions of people.
Pray that he would seek the Lord daily and that the Lord would speak to him just as Solomon prayed and God spoke to him.

  • 1 Kings 3:9-10 9 "Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"
10 The speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing.

  • Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. This is so much easier when we have a president who loves the Lord!
