John 8:11

She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

When you are reading through the New Testament you may notice one thing and that's that no one ever questioned Jesus when He gave a command to do something.

Here in today's devotional verse this was the woman caught in adultery and Jesus says to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

But what about us when we fall into sin? Don't we make a bunch of excuses for our sins and try to make amends with the Lord by doing things.
The bible is very clear that when you sin you repent or turn from you sin

  • Acts 3:19-20 19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 "and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,

  • and confess them, period.

  • Psalms 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD, '
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

  • The word Selah here in Psalms is a musical term which means to stop and rest.

So read today's verse again and then stop and listen to the Lord and rest assure that you are forgiven.

  • John 8:11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

  • Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

  • AMEN!
