Heb 10:38-39 (NLT)

38 And a righteous person will live by faith.
But I will have no pleasure in anyone who turns away."

39 But we are not like those who turn their backs on God and seal their fate. We have faith that assures our salvation.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to get to heaven.
Streets paved with gold.
No more tears or sorrow.
We will have a feast like none other we could ever imagine.
Even as you are reading this, Jesus is preparing a place for you in heaven for all eternity.
Yes I can't wait to get to heaven, because I know that God will supply all my needs.

But what about now?
We trust that God will take care of us when we get to heaven, why don't we trust Him to take care of us here on this earth?
When we start to doubt God it's like today's devotional verse, which says: "But I will have no pleasure in anyone who turns away."
Have you been doubting God lately? Are things not going the way you would want them too?
Maybe you lost your job, or even a loved one recently.
Maybe you just found out that you are getting laid off.
Maybe the bills are stacking up and you see no relief in sight.
Maybe your olds ways are starting to look good to you again.
Maybe there is trouble in your church.
Maybe you are just being attacked spiritually like you never have before.
Maybe your sin(s) don't make you feel righteous enough to have faith any longer.

Once again, we trust God for eternity when we will be in heaven, why can't we trust Him now?
One simple reason and that's believing the wrong one. You see, we will believe the lies of the devil who says that you are in too deep for God to help you out, or that you sinned to much for God to forgive you, or that the church you are going to has to many problems and you just don't need that right now.
Little whispers in our heads and we believe them.
I think it's time we stop believing the father of lies and believe the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that is Jesus Christ!

Heb 13:5b For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

Neither in heaven or here on this earth!
