5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Psalms 91:1 (NLT)

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Tonight, my 14-month-old little girl and me were sitting on the floor watching one of her Veggie Tales videos.
As we were, she was sitting on my lap totally involved with the show, not knowing her dad was sitting there right behind her watching her as she would smile, or move around like she was dancing with the songs. No, She knew I was there, but was totally content because she felt safe sitting with her dad.
Now, she would not be the same way with someone else, only her mom or me.
She trusts me and knows that if she is hungry or thirsty she just has to let out a little cry to let me know and she will be fed or given something to drink.
She has no idea that I work 8-9 hours a day, 6 days a week so she can have food and drink, or the home we live in or any of the other things we have.
But she doesn't really need to know everything (Not at 14 months old).
But even if she did, she would know that her dad loves her because he does work hard to provide for her and will always take care of her.

What about you? Have you been worrying lately over things, forgetting that God is our Father and will always take care of us!
We don't see or know everything that He does, but then we don't need to know, just trust that He will take care of us, just like my little girl trusts that I will take care of her and never hurt her.

So let me give you a little advice for tonight. Go home and curl up with a good book, called the bible, and rest assured that as I was watching my little girl and took pleasure in spending this time with her. That God wants you to sit on His lap as you read His word and you two cuddle up together enjoying each others company.
You trusting in Him and Him looking down at you and just loving you because you are His child!
