5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Judges 17:6 (NLT)

In those days Israel had no king, so the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.

Remember when you were younger and your parents would leave home for a while with you and your brothers and/or sister on your own?
You felt like you were all grown up, being able to do whatever you wanted.

I remember one time me and my sister were playing like we were driving cars in our room. We each had our own set of keys on a key chain (the old linked ones). My sister was putting her keys in one of the electrical socket. I had two keys on my key chain and didn't know better. So me being smart I stuck both keys, one in each socket and blam, sparks flew, smoke started to come from the socket and my fingers as the jolt threw me across to room a short ways. I was fine; my fingers got burnt a little and the keys had melted pretty badly.

Today people have their own point of view of what is right and what is wrong. A lot of people believe that sex before marriage is OK. Going out and getting drunk is OK as long as you don't drive. You get the idea, but that's the mentality of the world, because they have no king like the Christians do.
We as Christians have the King of kings ruling over us, directing us in what is right and wrong, and He directs us through His word, the bible.

So next time someone says it's OK to live with someone outside of marriage or any other things they say that's against the word of God. Remember they have no king to rule over them, so they just do what they think is right in their own eyes. They end up getting burnt just like I did with the keys in the socket.
Isn't it great to know we do have a King to rule over us and keep us safe in our ways!
