John 14:7

"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."


How many people that you know say they believe in God?
Now how many of those really believe in "a" god, instead of "the" God?
What do I mean? Many religions say they serve and worship a god, but what god are they really serving?
The bible makes it clear that there is only one God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Moses and the God of Jesus Christ.
But the bible says that there are many so called gods of this world.

  • 1 Chron 16:26 (NLT) The gods of other nations are merely idols, but the LORD made the heavens!


  • Isaiah 2:8 Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.


  • Dan 5:4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone.


  • 1 Cor 8:5-6 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), 6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.


    • Anyone can believe in a god, but only if they also believe in Jesus Christ do they believe in the true God of the bible.
    Pretty bold words you may be thinking, Yes they are but they are not mine but the words of Jesus.

  • John 14:7 "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."


    • So don't just say that you believe in God, even the demons believe and tremble.

  • James 2:19 (NLT) Do you still think it's enough just to believe that there is one God? Well, even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror!


    • But believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ also and be saved.

  • John 17:20-21 (NLT) 20 "I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me because of their testimony. 21 My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father--that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.


  • Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
