with God

Matt 9:36-38(NLT)

36 He felt great pity for the crowds that came, because their problems were so great and they didn't know where to go for help. They were like sheep without a shepherd. 37 He said to his disciples, "The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send out more workers for his fields."

With all that's going on in the world today, with talk of war and rumors of war, people are scared and are seeking a refuge or a place of comfort.
It's so good to know that they have one in the church, but they need to know that the peace and comfort is not in the church itself, but in Jesus Christ.
We as the church are just the body of Christ, His workers sharing Jesus' love.

As I read today's devotional verse it reminded me of what is happening with people wondering and being scared. Notice it says that Jesus was moved with compassion for these people or as it says here in the NLT He felt great pity for the crowds that came, because their problems were so great and they didn't know where to go for help.

We also as Christians should have compassion for the lost that are searching for an answer to all that's going on.
Maybe you don't have all the answers, and no one does but God, but you can lead them to God and the way to God is through Jesus Christ.

  • John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

  • So this weekend pray the Father to send out labors in this time of trials and troubles, also be willing to go out yourself, because you are one of those labors!

One final note; Maybe you are one who is asking why and searching for peace and comfort in these times of trouble. Let me point you to the Way, the Truth, and the Life which is Jesus Christ.

Just pray this prayer from your heart and you will be saved and have a peace knowing no matter what is happening the Lord is with you always.
    Just pray:

Jesus, I admit I'm a sinner and I ask you to please forgive me for my sins. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and that You rose from the dead and even now You are at the Right hand of the Father as the bible says You are. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me a peace that I can share with others. Thank You Jesus for dieing for my sins and for saving me. I ask this in Your name Jesus. AMEN!

If you just prayed this prayer from your heart and believed it, then you are now a Christian, welcome to the family of God. Now go share what you did with someone else, and let them have that same peace that you have in knowing Jesus is your Lord and Savior and comfort in time of need.
