Matt 24:6
"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
On 9/11/2001 there was an attack on the USA. We have all heard about it.
But one thing I noticed is that, depending on whom you listen to you will hear a different story.
Let me make myself more clear on this.
When you listen to the news on the radio or watch TV, there seems to be anger and revenge that dwells up in you. You can sense a false hope in all of what they say. But if you listen to Christian radio, then there is a hope and comfort in the things that are said.
The world can only deal with it the best they can with what they have, but as Christians we deal with it through Jesus Christ and His words of peace and comfort even in times of trouble.
So you will hear many things on the radio and see many things on TV.
They seemed to only remember the president's words of revenge towards those who did this, but they missed out on the most important thing he said, which was quoted from Psalms
Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Our president believes that God is with him and us.
Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
But I would encourage you to listen to Christian radio and feel a sense of peace through these times of trouble as you hear what God's word says about it all.
I would also encourage you to, even right now, to stop what you are doing and pray.
Pray for our president and the decisions he needs to make and that he would act as God would have him to.
Pray for our other leaders and for wisdom for them also.
Pray for the families of those who have died.
Pray for our boys and girls in the military.
Also as the bible says, continue to:
Psalms 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.
One more which the bible says to do.
Matt 5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
I know this may be a hard one, but we must remember that the Lord Jesus died for them also!
Finally as Jesus says:
Mark 13:32-33 32 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 "Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.
Jesus is coming back soon, maybe even today!
