1 John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
How many people do you know claim to be Christians?
Now how many of these actually go to church on Sunday? Or here's a better question, how many go out and party on Saturday night?
So many people think that they are Christians just because they have gone to church once in a while, or because their mom and dad are Christians.
But their life style doesn't represent a Christian.
Sure, we mess up as Christians, but we don't practice sin.
And when we do mess up we know it and are sad and have a repentant heart about it.
But those who are not Christians don't care when they sin, in fact they brag about it.
So today's devotional is short and to the point.
Next time someone says that they are a Christian, look and see if they shine with the light of Jesus Christ or if they are walking in darkness.
If they are shining with the light from Jesus Christ, then rejoice with them.
But if they are walking in darkness, show them the way to the light, which is Jesus Christ.
