5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

2 Thess 3:1 (NLT)

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, I ask you to pray for us. Pray first that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.

Today's devotional is a request for prayer. As this web site increases and the number of people coming here increases, so do my temptations because satan doesn't want this to continue. Because he just can't stand others learning God's word and people being saved.
So what should you pray for? The answer is in today's verse.

Pray first that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.

Just as this ministry on the Internet, or any other ministry. The first prayer should be that the Word of God would be spread throughout the world and that it's ministering to the people.

Would you believe that there are others who are even praying for you possibly right now? That's right. I personally pray for all who come to this web site, and I believe that others are to.
If you haven't been, then I would encourage you to start praying now for this web site and those who come to it.

Second you should be praying for those who are ministering to you and others.
Pray for their (and my) strength, wisdom knowledge and most important love as God's word goes out.

No one will see you, and your name will not be put on a plaque because of this, but your reward in heaven will be greater then any of these things.
Plus it also helps you to be a part of the ministry you are praying for.

  • 1 Cor 3:6-9 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building.

  • So by praying for this ministry, or any other ministry, you are being a planter or the one who waters.
But ALL the glory goes to the Lord who gives the increase!
