Titus 3:3-6 (NLT)
3 Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy. We hated others, and they hated us.
4 But then God our Savior showed us his kindness and love. 5 He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did.
Today you can go almost anywhere; the store, the movies, your job or even your neighbor's house. While you're there, you probably notice that people are down right mean and cruel. They speak mean things about others, they curse and yell. Some even resort to physical violence or even condone it by agreeing with the so-called action packed movie they are watching which is full of fighting and killing.
People at your job may speak evil of their employer and even steal from the company.
But we were all once the same way, we seem to forget sometimes what the Lord has saved us from. Even Paul was like this, in fact he used to persecute the Christians and have them thrown in jail and killed.
Gal 1:13 (NLT) You know what I was like when I followed the Jewish religion--how I violently persecuted the Christians. I did my best to get rid of them.
But God saved Paul, just as He saved you and me. So even though it may sometimes not be very pleasant to be around these sort of people, remember that you too where just like them. Also remember that someone was praying for you and shard Jesus with you, that is why you are now a Christian.
God has a reason for keeping us here on this earth and even at your job.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
How can we go if we are not there?
